WOZ, Die Wochenzeitung, 2020

Darum: Sei darauf vorbereitet.' (Giulia Bernardi)

Artsy, 2020

'Naturally, this particular time of seclusion due to the pandemic has affected my life, feelings, and habits, but it has also enabled a particular focus on details that otherwise go unnoticed during my usual daily routines. […] I think that collectors who can publicly display art in their institutions treat their artworks at home very personally, allowing for noncoherent or unusual presentations of artworks. Now I am able to discover hundreds of hidden details and meanings, either passing by or sitting for hours next to them.' (Grażyna Kulczyk)

Artnet, 2020

'If there is something we can take from this crisis, it is a new sense of community that might help us to sustain the dignity of something as essential as art and to insist on the essential public function of museums. I also hope that, when we can eventually return to museums and galleries, we will have learned from this situation, and will return to art with a fresh appetite for engagement and new ways of looking, taking the time to really appreciate what is there in front of us now that we have known what it is like when art is not so readily available in all its physical forms. […] My hope is that we take newly learned coping mechanisms from this time in waiting into the new reality ahead. Ideally, that means spending more time on individual works, giving them the time to move us, even if we end up seeing less overall. There is a poetic reciprocity in this interaction.’ (Grażyna Kulczyk)

Stay in Art, 2020

Apollo, 2020

'Layers of history are lovingly exposed and framed with contemporary finishes in local materials, such as a floor composed of polished stones from the river Inn. They enlarged natural grottoes and built a passageway under the road to link the cluster of buildings that form the museum. Everything exudes its patron’s perfectionism and the Swiss ideal of ‘minimal intervention’.' (Christopher Turner)

Gazeta Wyborcza, 2020

'Susch Muzeum Grażyny Kulczyk przez rok odwiedziło 30 tys. gości, a sama placówka została wyróżniona w licznych plebiscytach. Teraz ma szanse na nagrodę Muzeum Roku 2020.'

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, 2020

(Rose-Maria Gropp)

The Architectural Review, 2020

'At Muzeum Susch, architecture, art and mountain patiently take it in turns to enthral. Some rooms are typical white boxes, albeit finely detailed, allowing the art to dominate unchallenged; some frame the valley through deep windows like paintings; in others, the line between art, building and rock blurs and bends. In one underground vault, the mountain’s serrated innards are exposed, water coursing through its veins into a clear pool in the gloom, a memory of a Renaissance grotto water feature. Here, at the centre of the Earth, it is the frozen might of the planet’s tectonic forces, carved in stone, that is the work of art.' (Eleanor Beaumont)

Swiss Architects, 2020

Muzeum Susch has been awarded as the Swiss ‘Building of the Year 2019’

Gazeta.pl, 2020

'The Engadine is famous from its items crafted of stone and Swiss pine, which has a magnificent scent, while the quaint towns and villages seem merely a humble addition to nature – lost amidst the majestic summits, green forests and snow white. … Indeed, if one doesn’t know that Susch is home to a museum of contemporary art, they would have missed it looking straight at it from the train station. The present function of the former monastery and brewery buildings is inconspicuous, moreover they are like a perfect jigsaw puzzle in the village. There’s no steel, glass, concrete or newfangled architecture, typical of such institutions. … A journalist for ‘Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung’ wrote: ‘t’s difficult to imagine a more modest and subtle monument to this place and its history’. No wonder, it is a place where artworks out of the ‘comfort zone’ can be discovered comfortably and with a sense of respect to the surroundings.' (Paulina Dudek)

Swiss Architects, 2020

Widewalls Magazine, 2020

'This exhibition is driven by limits, both in media and society: how they can be overcome, transformed and transgressed through time. While Carolee’s goal was to extend visual principles off the canvas and into life, this exhibition also considers the new challenges and limits our society is confronted with. It is exploring how and in which forms the expansive and innovative use of artistic media further emerge in works of the generation ‘after Carolee Schneemann’ and what kind of questions in regards to the body are at stake.' (Sabine Breitwieser)
