Description
This issue opens with a conversation with Tracey Emin, whose voice sets the tone for the entire publication: direct, courageous and profoundly honest. The cover artwork, Marriage to Myself, is emblematic of that spirit, offering a powerful meditation on autonomy, intimacy and the strength found in vulnerability. Throughout 2025, Muzeum Susch continued its mission to amplify voices that challenge conventions and expand established art-historical narratives. This edition of the magazine presents three momentous exhibitions: Ilona Keserü: Flow, celebrating an artist for whom abstraction is an act of freedom; Jadwiga Maziarska: Assembly, revealing abstraction as a field of rigorous research; and Gabriele Stötzer: With Hand & Foot, Skin & Hair, a moving testimony to creative resistance under political oppression.
The Instituto Susch section further deepens our commitment to documenting and illuminating the legacies of women artists, this time focusing on voices from Bulgaria, Hungary and Montenegro. This year also marked a new chapter for Temporars Susch, our residency programme, reaffirming my commitment to the art of excellent writing
