KONIECZNY & NAPIERAŁA - Live Concert on 10 April at the Muzeum Susch.

World-class bass-baritone, Tomasz Konieczny, accompanied by Lech Napierała, on the grand piano.

Programme of the concert:

All proceeds from the concert: 2035 CHF, including the sale of the tickets (1425 CHF) and what we have collected during the evening (610 CHF), go to Polish Humanitarian Action / Ukraine.

Tomasz Konieczny 

Tomasz Konieczny currently stars as "Wotan" in Wagner's iconic opera Die Walküre on the Royal Danish opera's main stage in one of the world's most compelling musical dramas. In May, he appears as Wotan at Opera Haus Zurich. Following his sensational success as Alberich, Jochanaan, Wotan/Wanderer in the 2013 Jubilee Ring, Jack Rance/La Fanciulla del West - the opening premiere of the 2013/14 season at the Vienna State Opera, Tomasz Konieczny will also sing Cardillac, Telramund and other significant operatic roles at this house in the coming years.On 16 January 2019, Tomasz Konieczny became an Austrian Kammersänger on the stage of the Vienna State Opera.Konieczny will make guest appearances at the Metropolitan Opera, Bayreuth Festival, Teatro Real Madrid, among others, in the coming years.

In addition, Tomasz Konieczny is also a highly successful performer in concert. His repertoire includes Bach's St. Matthew Passion, the Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Messiah and Mendelssohn's Elijah, the Requiem by Mozart, Verdi and Dvorak, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Dvorak's Stabat. Symphony, Dvorak's Stabat Mater, Penderecki's Kosmogonia, St Luke Passion, Seven Gates of Jerusalem and Maciejewski's Messa da Requiem, songs by Strauss, Rachmaninov, Twardowski, Penderecki, Beethoven, Moniuszko, Schubert, Mahler, Mussorgsky and the other great composers.

Lech Napierała (piano)

Lech Napierała is one of the best and most successful Polish song accompanists and chamber musician. He regularly performs with renowned artists such as Tomasz Konieczny, Krzysztof Chorzelski, Gérard Wyss, Maciej Pikulski, Olga Pasichnyk, Monika Bohinec, Aida Garifullina, Łukasz Konieczny, Dorottya Láng, Çiğdem Soyarslan and Paul Schweinester.

The versatile pianist has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and song accompanist in such halls as the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin Philharmonic, the NDR Hamburg Sendesaal, Tōkyō Bunka Kaikan, the Warsaw National Philharmonic, the Warsaw National Opera, the Warsaw Grand Radio Hall or the Katowice Sendesaal, to name just a few of the venues that testify to his international stature.
Lech Napierała graduated with honours in vocal accompaniment at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts with David Lutz. Previously, he attended the Music University in Warsaw and studied with Andrzej Stefański, Krzysztof Jabłoński and Barbara Halska.
